Going Away Party (2 DAYS! EEP!)

(Top) Part of the group!
(Bottom) My mom and me!
It's getting down to the nitty gritty! Only two more days and I'm off to Disney World!

Last night I had my going away party, where nearly 20 or more of my friends from town came to hang out and catch up on things before I left. There were so many people that I hadn't seen or spent quality time with in a long time! I am so thankful I got to see pretty much everyone before I leave.

My friend Grace made the most amazing chocolate and Nutella cake (the Nutella was a surprise for me), and we ended up playing probably the biggest game of Apples to Apples ever. Overall it was a fun and amazing night. I consider my friends as family, so I'm blessed I got to see everyone before this amazing experience.

Today my mom and I almost finished packing! By some miracle, I've been able to fit all of my clothes into one giant suitcase! I'm only bringing clothes I actually wear, and honestly I probably brought too many clothes designated for colder weather. But since they fit, and I don't trust Florida's temperamental weather patterns, might as well bring them! I'll be using one suitcase for clothes (obviously) and another large suitcase for miscellaneous items like my shoes, straightener, etc. I'm even going to be bringing a backpack as my carry-on that'll have my laptop and books and whatnot to keep me entertained on the nearly 8 hour flight.

The cake my friend made us!
Some of my roommates have already left, and one has already made it to Orlando! Seeing some of my friends starting to travel and making it to Disney World before me actually makes me a little more calm and prepared for leaving. Honestly, I don't know how to feel right now. There's so many emotions I don't know how to express myself! I'm sad for leaving my family and friends, nervous for this brand new experience, excited because it's Disney, anxious to find out where I'm working and to ride my favorite rides....yikes!

Right now, I'm going to focus on spending my last day with my family and friends. My friends and I have a tradition to have a "Last Supper" at In N Out before school starts or someone is moving away. So tomorrow I'll be going to that, finishing packing and buying the last few things I'll need, and spending the evening with my family. Before I know it, I'll be on that plane! It's so crazy to think that it was about three months ago when I discovered I was accepted! Time flies like no other, and I know this program will be the same. I'm excited to cherish it and appreciate every single moment!
