Disney Tune Tuesday 7: Pirates

This has to be one of my top three favorite movie theme songs. I've been trying to learn it on the piano for like a year now but it's pretty difficult, but still super fun! I remember watching this section during World of Color and I got chills it was so amazing.

Enjoy!

He's a Pirate
By Hans Zimmer

The Lion King Rises

This is probably one of the best, if not THE best dubbed fake Disney movie preview I've ever seen on Youtube. It was so epic and awesome, I had to share it with you.

For a quick description, this video contains clips from The Lion King, but the sound is from the Dark Knight Rises official movie trailer. You can see the original preview here.

My friends, I give you, The Lion King Rises:

If you haven't seen the new Batman movie, I beg you to go see it. I absolutely adored The Dark Knight because Heath Ledger was amazing. I thought Rises couldn't possibly live up to how amazing the second movie was, but I was proved wrong. Rises is just as epic and amazing in it's own way.

Five Confessions Friday: Day 15

I apologize for the lack of series posts this and last week...I've been out of town for the last Confessions Friday and Tune Tuesday. I'll do my best to not make that mistake again!!

Confession One:

Sounds like an interesting idea!
Confession Two:

I've never seen Newsies, but I can relate with the other two!
Confession Three:

Oh my gosh being a villain would be so much fun! You wouldn't have to be all happy and cheerful all the time. Wow...I'm so cynical.

Confession Four:

She is indeed very beautiful

Confession Five:

This is why I love Tiana. I can relate to her in that way, since I'm never really out looking for love. It's a nice breath of fresh air to have a princess that's hard working and doesn't get everything handed to her for the most part.

You know, the WDC Tumblr hasn't been very active lately...I guess they're just busy with summer stuff but I still have another confession that they need to create. Oh well, we'll see what happens!!

Disney Prom Dresses: Part 3

Part Three

Hello everyone! Welcome to part three of Alfred Angelo's Disney Prom Dresses series!

If you missed the two parts: Part One, Part Two

Coincidentally this week, all of the prom dresses are blue!

Style: 5008

Description: A gorgeous floor length made with net, taffeta, rhinestones, crystal beading, sequins and pearls. Offers optional halter straps.

Colors: Island Blue (pictured), Lily Pad, and Pink Passion

Sizes: 2-16

Price Range: Under $400

My Opinion: I think this dress is gorgeous. Reminds me of Cinderella :)

Style: 5009

Description: Another beautiful floor length made with organza, satin, rhinestones, crystal beading, and sequins with metallic accents. Can have optional halter straps.

Colors: Sea Glass (pictured), Purple Pizzazz, and Mystic Pink

Sizes: 2-16, 14W-22W (Plus sizes available)

Price Range: Under $500

My Opinion: I love the tiered and flowing nature of the bottom half of the dress. Kind of looks like she's wearing a cloud! I'd love to see the other colors of this one, I feel like pink would be lovely!

Style: 5010

Description: Made with ombre net, this floor length dress contains embroidery withe metallic accents, crystal beading, and sequins.

Colors: Blue Swirl (pictured)

Sizes: 2-16

Price Range: Under $500

My Opinion: I adore this dress! I love the blue swirl color! It's kind of unfortunate that it only comes in the color blue, but I really like it anyway! I think it'd be neat if it came in a two-in-one kind of color, like red and white for example. However, I think this is gorgeous! (Also...does this model only know one pose? It's almost exactly the same as the last dress!)

Style: 5011

Description: Created with net, satin, embroidered flowers with metallic accents, rhinestones, crystal beading sequins, and offers optional modesty piece and halter straps.

Colors: White, Sea Glass (pictured), Yellow Fairy, and Red Apple.

Sizes: 2-16

Price Range: Under $600

My Opinion: Another pretty dress that looks like a cloud! I feel like the Yellow Fairy color would be really pretty. I'd also like to see the Red Apple, it'd be different.

There you have it folks! Part three of the Disney Prom Dress series! I'd have to say my favorite is style 5010. I just love the swirled colors!

Which one is your favorite?

Quick Nemo Update

I apologize for the lack of activity this week. I have been the most busy I have ever been in years! Thursday was my last day of class, went right to work after, then went straight to the Batman premiere immediately after that, not coming home and sleeping until four in the morning. Then the next day, I went down to Sacramento with my friend to see the incredible Demi Lovato in concert along with Adam Lambert, Owl City, and Karmin. Then the next day (after coming home at one AM), I drove three hours and back to my cousin's wedding! Today is my first day off in a while.

Now that we have that covered, moving on to the important news!

While I was away, The Disney Freak messaged me some important information:

Finding Nemo 2 is planned to be released in 2016.

Also some interesting information...the website she found this information also mentions a Cars 3 coming out in 2017?

You have got to be kidding me.

I couldn't really find any legitimate information regarding this assumption, but let's hope they're not really thinking it's going to happen. If they are, Pixar is just turning into a sequel factory, and a sequel factory for the wrong movies!!! (Finding Nemo 2 isn't that bad, I'm thinking Cars and whatnot.)

Ugh, frustration.

FINDING NEMO 2??

Source
Alas, after the many many years hearing Ellen Degeneres complain about Disney not making a Finding Nemo 2....she might get what she wanted.

Entertainment Weekly posted an article online today explaining that the same director for John Carter is in the works of creating a sequel to the beloved Finding Nemo.

Unfortunately, this is all the information the article said. They reminded everyone that the original Finding Nemo is going to be re-released in 3D in theaters on September 14 later this year. Finding Nemo has been Pixar's highest grossing film so far, earning roughly $867 million since it opened in 2003.

The closing statement from EW.com mentions that Disney and Pixar reps declined to comment when approached by EW representatives. Does this mean it could be a huge rumor? Or does Disney want to make an official announcement?

After a bit of research, Huffington Post shared the same news as EW, stating that the director will return to creating a sequel. It said that Ellen Degeneres (Dory) and Albert Brooks (Marlin) are still unknown to return. However, being an avid Ellen Show viewer, I know Ellen would return in a heartbeat.

The end of Huffington's article reveals future projects that Pixar has officially announced, including Dia De Los Muertos, The Good Dinosaur and a movie that is still undergoing construction currently called Untitled Pixar Movie that Takes You Inside the Mind. These are all set to premiere in 2014 and 2015.

The end of Huffington Post's article also states that the Finding Nemo 2 facts have not been confirmed by Pixar. I guess all we can do at this point is wait.

For an Incredibles sequel.

(Sorry, just had to say that) ;)

Q&A Video?

Hey guys!

So recently I did this video called the "Tumblr Accent Challenge" (which really was kind of stupid, but fun at the same time), and it made me want to make a question and answer video!

Do you have any questions that you'd like to know about me? Anything Disney related, but it doesn't have to be!

I've been to Disneyland many times, and the parks in Florida once (but I love doing research about it). If you have questions about the parks, I'll be happy to answer!

But like I said, the questions can be about anything :) I'll say who the questions are from unless otherwise requested.

I'm aiming for about ten questions in order to do it!

Just leave me a comment with a question, and I'll be sure to put it in the video! :)

Five Confessions Friday: Day 14

Confession One:

I was always made fun of by people when I obsessed over Disney Channel stuff..my obsession for general Disney actually sparked more so after my trip to Disneyland last year. I know what you mean, I've had people tell me "Disney is EVIL!!!" just to make me mad. It's annoying. However finding other people online that have the same obsession definitely makes me feel better about it :)

Confession Two:

I've never gotten autographs from characters...I always thought it'd be awkward since I'm older, and when I was little I was too scared to talk to them. Next time I go though, I'm def getting pix.

Confession Three:

That job would be AMAZING.

Confession Four:

I LOVE the soundtrack to Pirates!! Been trying to learn "He's a Pirate" for a while on the piano now. So much fun!

Confession Five:

*cough*IronMan*cough* ;)

The Great and Powerful Oz

The trailer for the new movie Oz, the Great and Powerful is finally out! I mentioned this movie in a previous post and I wasn't quite sure what to think about it. I love Mila Kunis though, which helps. But after I saw this trailer it got me really excited. It looks so good!

Trailer

What do you think?

I know there are some people who are kind of sticklers about messing with the Oz series, but this looks like it could work. Hopefully James Franco does a good job.

Confessions & Revenge of a Disney Employee

One day I was kind of browsing through Youtube and I decided to search Disney stuff. Usually I look up songs and whatnot, but the other day I just searched "Disney" to see what would come up.

The search brought me to some of the most entertaining and funny two Disney videos I've seen.

The thing is, they aren't about the movies or anything. They're about this ex cast member that used to work in Disney World's Hollywood Studios (I think back then it was still MGM).  The first video talks about his experiences in general as a cast member, and his love for free food (you'll understand once you watch the video). The second video shows the events that led up to his last days working as a cast member, which is equally as hilarious. (Vista Waaaaayyyy bahahaha.)

Enjoy!

Confessions of a Disney Employee

Revenge of the Disney Employee

Ohh man. My brother and I quote the first one (QUICK!! I just stole this bread because I'm poor, and you're poor too!!) all the time. Our little town actually has a Vista Lane...which definitely made us laugh last time we drove by it.

Which video is your favorite? If you worked at Disney, have you had some crazy experiences like this ex cast member?

Disney Tune Tuesday 5: "Belle" Parody

For this week's Disney tune, I want to share with you a hilarious Youtube parody video I saw the other day on the song "Belle" from Beauty and the Beast called "Beauty and the Beat." Some of you may have seen it already, but even so it's definitely worth seeing again. It's just too funny!

Original Song

Beauty and the BEAT!

I don't know about you, but I found it clever haha. I personally like the parody girl's singing voice more than the original. My brother and I started cracking up when we saw Antoine randomly plopped in the video.

Disney Prom Dresses: Part 2

Part Two

Welcome to part two of the Disney prom dress series from the amazing designers of Alfred Angelo!

Style: 5004

Description: A satin, one shoulder, floor-length dress with crystal beading, net, rhinestones and an optional modesty piece.

Colors: White, Majestic Orchid (pictured) and Blue Magic

Sizes: 2-16

Price Range: Under $600

My Opinion: I would definitely buy this dress! I love the bodice and the one shoulder. I especially love the purple color. I think the blue version would also look gorgeous. This one kind of reminds me of Megara's dress from Hercules. It kind of has that greek feel to it, but maybe that's just me.

Style: 5005

Description: A strapless and floor length made with net, rhinestones, pearls, sequins, and crystal beading. Also has optional halter straps.

Colors: White, Yellow Fairy (pictured), Majestic Blue, and Enchanted Iris

Sizes: 2-16

Price Range: Under $500

My Opinion: The designers just love the color yellow! I actually quite like this pastel color though, reminds me of a pastry like a cupcake or something else delicious. On the other hand I really like this design. Seems simple, yet gorgeous at the same time.

Style: 5006

Description: Another strapless floor length beauty, made with net, rhinestones, crystal beading, pearls, and metallic accents.

Colors: Sizzle Pink (pictured), Grape Jam, Ocean

Sizes: 2-16 also 14W-22W (plus sizes)

Price Range: Under $500

My Opinion: I love the pink! I also love the edgy feel this one has with the metallic accents. For some reason Jasmine comes to mind when I see this dress...
On a side note, I would definitely want the Grape Jam color, being the purple fanatic that I am ;)

Style: 5007

Description: Halter top made with net, sequins, rhinestone and crystal beading

Colors: Yellow Fairy, Crushed Violet, Punch

Sizes: 2-16

Price Range: Under $500

My Opinion: I'm not really a fan of this one, and I can't pinpoint why. Maybe I don't think it's as flattering as the other dresses, but that just depends on the girl who wears it I guess. I'm curious to know which princess/character the designer modeled it off of since nothing really comes to mind for me.

This concludes part two of the Disney prom dress series! What do you think? Which one is your favorite? Mine would have to be either the first or the third one.

Five Confessions Friday: Day 13

Hello my lovely friends and followers! Welcome to this week's set of confessions!

Earlier this week I was able to submit a couple confessions myself, and they've already posted one of them! I'll include it in today's set :) Enjoy!

Confession One:

Reminds me of someone... ;) (The Disney Freak) I feel like Angelina can pull this off. I like how it's a different role than what she's used to playing, but for some reason I can picture this working out.

Confession Two:

Makes sense! Never really thought of it that way.

Confession Three (mine!):

Sad, but true. I did enjoy Brave, but I just can't stop thinking about how they need to make this sequel. I think it's becoming a problem lol. I explain myself more here. (I love the picture they chose to use with the confession)

Confession Four:

It's based on the book...which was mainly inspired off of hallucinogenic drugs. The book is pretty messed up as well. I think Disney did this movie though because of the creative opportunities the book held.

Confession Five:

I've thought of that too!!

Any opinions? Feel free to share!

Disney Tune Tuesday 4: Mulan

Hello my friends and followers! It's Tuesday! Woo! I'm going camping for four days tomorrow, so I'm excited to finally get away from summer classes and just relax :)

This week for the lovely Tune Tuesday, I'll be sharing one of my favorites from Mulan, also one of my favorite Disney movies.

I'll Make a Man Out of You
Sung by: Donny Osmond

Chinese Version
By: Jackie Chan

Cover by Darren Chris

In case you didn't know, Darren Chris plays Blaine Anderson in Glee (a show I shall admit I love). The Chinese version is pretty cool too :)

I hope you enjoyed today's Disney tune! Do you have a favorite Disney song?

PS: Even though I'll be out of town, I already have posts scheduled for this week to be automatically posted on here and Tumblr while I'm away :)

Disney Prom Dresses: Part 1

Introduction

Earlier in the year I had a series about the Disney wedding dresses by Alfred Angelo. As I finished the collection with the veils and jewelry, I announced that Alfred Angelo not only does Disney weddings, but has a series full of Disney prom dresses! Today I will be starting our journey through this collection, by showing you three to four dresses a week from the beautiful collection. Enjoy!

(I will include the price range this time, since people have mentioned they would like more information about the pieces that I post.)

Part One

Style: 5000

Description: A gorgeous floor length with shimmer organza, rhinestones, crystal beading, sequins and metallic embroidery.

Colors: White, Mango, Aqua Pearl, and Pink Lemonade

Sizes: 2-16

Price Range: Under $600

My Opinion: Personally, yellow isn't my favorite color, but I love how much this looks like Belle's dress, so you can see the Disney inspiration. I would love to see the pink lemonade color, as well as maybe a purple (even though they don't have that option).

Style: 5001

Description: Floor length with metallic embroidery, taffeta, rhinestones, crystal beading and sequins. Has optional modesty piece and halter straps.

Colors: White, Wild Berry, Honey Do, Orange Pop

Sizes: 2-16

Price Range: Under $700

My Opinion: I think this one is stunning. I'm curious to what Honey Do color would look like, but I'll assume a light green like the honeydew melon. I love the detailed bodice, and I do like this (I'm assuming) wild berry color.

Style: 5002

Description: Floor length made with net, rhinestones, crystal beading, sequins and metallic accents. Also has optional modesty piece and halter straps.

Colors: Solar Yellow, Purple Rain, Electric Blue

Sizes: 2-16

Price Range: Under $500

My Opinion: Again I also see Belle's dress in this design, not just because it's yellow. The electric blue would probably be a stunning color, as well as the purple. Not sure if I really like that the net swoops and meets in the center area.

Style: 5003

Description: Floor length made with net, crystal beading, pearls, sequins and rhinestones. Also comes with optional modesty piece and halter straps.

Colors: Blue Angel, Green Glo, Pink Sorbet

Sizes: 2-16, 14W-22W (comes in plus sizes)

Price Range: Under $500

My Opinion: This is an adorable dress! Reminds me of Cinderella (of course). The design also reminds me of Cinderella's wedding dress from the designer's collection. I bet the other color options look just as cute and beautiful as the blue.

This concludes our first set of Disney prom dresses! What did you think? This makes me wish I was back in high school shopping for dresses...but then again it's probably better because there's no way I could afford something like this without feeling super guilty. They're fun to look at though!
