Five Confessions Friday: Day 4

Once again, happy Friday! Here are five new Disney confessions from the Walt Disney Confessions Tumblr. Hope you enjoy!

Confession One:

....who thinks Simba is a jerk? That's my question.
Confession Two:

I don't think Brave is going to be like that....I agree with Cars 2 but I don't think Pixar has lost its vision.

Confession Three:

I love The Goofy Movie!! I remember my imaginary friends were Buzz and Woody from Toy Story. Gotta love imaginary Disney friends ;)

Confession Four:

You know..I've never thought about that...and this person has a point. The soundtrack to this movie was amazing.

Confession Five:

I always say Nala is my favorite Disney princess. I don't care what her "official" title is. She's a badass. Flat out.

  1. Uh, who thinks Simba's a jerk? That's the first time I've heard it. I think in the second they did a terrible job with his character compared to the first movie.

Concerning Brave, I can understand where this person's concerned. I don't think it's going to be like Cars 2 though. In the Time article (I shared it in "Time to be Brave" on my blog), it mentioned that Pixar refers to non-Pixar movies as...well, I forget the term. But basically any movie that has sexual humor, adult-only jokes, stuff like that. They refer to that as what they DON'T want to do. Well it seems Mark Andrews is leaning that direction. This all makes more sense if you've read the article. That butt joke in "The Prize" trailer? C'mom Pixar. Stick with the way you were. Up was beautiful.

    Did that make sense?

Sorry, that was a long comment...

    1. I didn't get to read the article, but I can see what you mean. However when i go back and watch some of the older Disney movies now that I'm much older there are still some allusions to some subtle crude (but not too crude like Dreamworks movies) humor that I find quite comical haha. I heard Cars 2 had a very political message, talking about crude oil and stuff. That's what I want Pixar/Disney to stay out of. The last thing we need is more politics. Ugh.
