Five Confessions Friday: Day 3

Time for five more Walt Disney Confessions! I hope you enjoy them and have a wonderful weekend!

Remember, all of these were created by Walt Disney Confessions Tumblr, not me. If you'd like to see more, check out their page!

Confession 1:

I feel your pain sometimes. Though it gets better! The longer I've stuck to my passion for Disney, the more people have accepted it :)

Confession 2:

Err...awkward...someone obviously has bad taste. The Disney Freak...you're going to die after seeing this.

Confession 3:

I think it's mainly because she technically isn't royalty..she's a normal girl. But I see your point.

Confession 4:

Interesting, but this also proves that having the same race as someone doesn't mean you connect with them.

Confession 5:

Ugh seriously. I can't stand people who actually believe that stuff.

Disney Fairy Tale Wedding: Beauty and the Beast

Week Four Wedding Dress: Belle

Hello lovelies! I would first like to apologize for posting so much later than usual...school has been getting crazy with finals creeping up mighty quickly...

So! I shall take a break and share with you this week's Disney fairy tale wedding created by the lovely and talented, Alfred Angelo. Today I bring you beautiful Belle from Beauty and the Beast.

Collection One

Alfred Angelo's "Belle"

Designer Description: "The story continues in stylish sophistication with a ballgown inspired by a single dance. Paying tribute to Belle's warm and gracious spirit, the gown features a draped satin and crystal beaded corset with subtle hints of gold metallic embroidery. A detachable shrug and draped net pick-up skirt create added grandeur."

Alfred Angelo Style 207

My Opinion: When I first saw this dress it reminded me of Belle's yellow ball gown with the draped satin starting from the waist. The embroidery looks absolutely stunning on the corset, and I actually prefer the dress with the optional shrug shown in the first picture on the model. Stunning!

Collection Two

Alfred Angelo's "Belle"
Designer Description: "With layers of tulle and a bejewelled corset, this beautiful ball gown embodies Belle’s warm, yet sophisticated style. This grand ball gown is layered with graceful tiers of tulle and net and features a luxuriously bejewelled, encrusted corset bodice that is filled with more enchantment than a storybook romance.  While beasts can be princes in disguise, there’s no hiding a true princess."

 Style 217
My Opinion: I can see the similarities between this dress and the previous style, both embodying the similar yellow ball gown I mentioned earlier. I personally think this style reminds me of a beautifully crafted wedding cake with the tule and the jewels on the bottom half of the dress. I really love this corset as well. Could you imagine making something like this? Incredible! (On a side note...the second model photo is definitely my favorite and probably one of my favorites in the series. However it doesn't really display the entire dress like the first one.)

Disney Maiden Bridesmaid

Style 501

Disney "Blossom"/Flower Girl

Style 700

Aren't the little "blossoms" just the cutest? I feel like the bridesmaid dress and the matching blossom look perfect together with both wedding dresses. I feel like if you want a Disney princess themed party, Beauty and the Beast would be a major hit!

Five Confessions Friday: Day 2

Hello! Welcome to our second Friday in our "Five Confessions Friday" series! I hope you have had a fabulous week like I have! The weather has been absolutely gorgeous out here. It makes me so anxious for summer! Can't wait to sit outside, read, tan, swim...*sigh* but I need to finish the home stretch of this semester. Bleh. Anywho, carrying on!

(Remember, you can find even more confessions from the Walt Disney Confessions Blog!)

Confession 1:

I agree. Of course there's greedy people...it's a company. But it's not ONLY filled with these people!

Confession 2:
Oh my goodness..that's so sad :(
Confession 3:

Since when was yellow a good color for brunettes? Never. I hate the color yellow on me haha.

Confession 4:

All of the Sid scenes were pretty terrifying if I remember correctly.
Confession 5:

I wholeheartedly agree.

Have a fantastic weekend!

Walt Disney: An American Original

Lately I've been trying to be more productive with my life...trying to find more hobbies other than just sitting on the computer and doing homework. I decided I need to start reading for fun again, since the last leisure books I read were The Hunger Games. After a little bit of thinking, I finally figured out what I wanted to read.

A Walt Disney biography of course!

In 8th grade I did this huge year-long report and presentation about Walt Disney and his life, but I had gotten all of the information online and in a small, child-like biography I found in our tiny school library. Even with my limited authentic information...that project is exactly what sparked my love and desire for Disney to it's maximum potential. His life inspired me like no one else's, and I want to continue learning about his amazing life as much as I can.

So after researching the different Disney biographies there are available, I finally decided to choose Walt Disney: An American Original by Bob Thomas. The reviews for this one seemed to be the most consistent with positive responses.

I'll keep you updated once I start reading! I ordered the copy off of Amazon today, so I'll be getting it probably in a week or so. I'm super excited!

Walt Disney Inspires Many

Sometimes when I have a rough day, I look up quotes to help get me through the tough times. A lot of the times, Walt Disney pops up out of pure coincidence. However, if you've ever read any of the quotes or know much about his life, you wouldn't be surprised.

Here are some of my favorite Walt Disney quotes that help me pull through a rough day. Hopefully, they can help you too :)

Five Confessions Friday: Day 1

Since the Disney confessions post I made last week was such a hit (and I love looking at all of the different confessions), I've decided to make Fridays, "Five Confessions Fridays"! Every Friday I'll post five interesting confessions I find on the Walt Disney Confessions blog.

If you have any confessions you'd like to share, please feel free! They can be your own, or ones you find on the blog you enjoyed and thought other people should see!

Confession 1:
An "Incredibles" sequel NEEDS to be done. I will not rest until one is!

Confession 2:
One of the reasons why I love what Disney movies can do.

Confession 3:
Psh, I would too!

Confession 4:
That's true. Kind of reminds me of "Glee." Hehe :)
Confession 5:
Haha I just HAD to put this up. I find it too amazing and hilarious.

Disney Fairy Tale Wedding: Sleeping Beauty

Week Two Wedding Dress: Sleeping Beauty

For our second week of Disney fairytale weddings, we have the beautiful Aurora, better known as Sleeping Beauty. Since there are two styles of each princess gown, I will be posting both styles along with the bridesmaids dresses.

Sleeping Beauty wedding gown, Collection 1
Designer Description (Style 1): "This classic tale is retold with a romantic taffeta gown featuring multiple layers of dreamy gossamer tulle, reminiscent of cascading briar rose petals. The re-embroidered lace and crystal beaded bodice with rose detail adds an elegant touch."

Alfred Angelo Style 203

Collection 2

Designer Description (Style 2): "The theme of pretty romance rings true with this gently draped blushing gown. Aurora's elegance and femininity resonate in romantic organza with a willowy, asymmetric skirt and sweetheart neckline. Featuring beautiful touches of waist beading and self fabric rose inspired flowers. Alluring and lovely, it’s as if this princess has just awoken."

Alfred Angelo Style 218

The second one is personally my favorite! Though they are of course both amazingly gorgeous.

Coolest Pillow Pet Ever? I Think So.

On my last trip to Disneyland in February, I fell in love when I discovered there was a Mickey Mouse pillow pet. I immediately picked it up and carried it around the store while my friend was trying to find a shirt to buy as a souvenir. Unfortunately, I decided to put it back on the shelf because it was out of my price range. I bid what I thought would be goodbye to my beloved new pillow pet.

But, alas, it was not goodbye!

My friend who was with me in the store that day, actually bought it for my birthday a few weeks later! I was thrilled! Now, I personally think I have the coolest pillow pet ever.  Wouldn't you agree? ;)

My adorable Mickey pillow pet!

A few months before this trip, I actually had bought one of my best friends a Winnie the Pooh pillow pet for Christmas. I was curious to known just how many pillow pets Disney has, and to my surprise, there's quite a few!

Mickey, Pluto, Tigger, and Dumbo pillow pets in a Disney shop!
I also checked the Pillow Pet website and saw they had even more options, such as Simba, characters from the "Cars" films, and Kermit the Frog!

Personally, I'd get the Simba pillow pet if I had to choose another one. Which one would you like to have?

Have a fantastic day!

Disney Fairy Tale Wedding: Ariel

Week One: Princess Ariel (Collection 1)

Let's start our Disney Fairy Tale Wedding series with the one and only Little Mermaid!

Designer Description: "This romantic gown celebrates Ariel's free spirit with re-embroidered lace and taffeta fabrics that move as gracefully as the ocean.  Touches of sea-inspired details such as pearl beading, subtle metallic accents, crystal beading and sequins add a splash of the unexpected."

Disney Fairy Tale Weddings!

As a girl, I have a tendency to every once in a while look at possible wedding dresses for my future wedding. I've come across many different kinds of themes, and some can quite abstract (Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, etc.). However, the one theme that has caught my heart is of course the Disney Fairy Tale Weddings collection. Yes, I do realize this is probably the most expensive and nearly impossible collection and theme I could possibly come across besides huge designer dresses from Europe, but a girl can still admire, right?

The dresses designed by Alfred Angelo are absolutely breathtaking. He has taken the Disney princess' gowns from their movies and tailored them to a uniquely similar real-life model. He even has dresses for bridesmaids and flower girls that can fit with each theme. As well as stunning jewelry.

I decided to make a series of posts of these wedding themes. Each week I'll put together a theme for each Disney princess to share with you the magic Alfred Angelo has created :)

Here is a concept video of some of the beautiful gowns I'll be posting about in the next few weeks:

Walt Disney Confessions

Has there ever been something about Disney or Disney movies that's bothered you? Touched you emotionally? Made you change your views on something?

Well I found this blog on Tumblr called "Walt Disney Confessions." It's FILLED (I'm talkin' 'bout over 430 pages of confessions!) with tons of amazing confessions submitted by anonymous users. You could call it the Disney version of the incredible website Post Secret. I thought it would be fun to share some of these with you, because I found them interesting, touching, and surprising.

EXACTLY how I feel!!! I'm rooting for Brave. It needs to pick up where Cars let them down.

Personally, one of my confessions would be:

I used to have a good singing voice. After I moved to a school without a music class I lost it. I want my voice back just so I can sing "A Whole New World" and actually sound decent again.

These confessions and many others just prove how much of a positive (and negative!) impact Disney has and can have on people's lives.

If you would like to see more confessions, here's the link for the blog.
