I've come across many amazing a capella Disney medleys on Youtube in the past. Here are some of the best!
This one makes me so happy! I just adore their performance. They have some amazing other performances and medleys as well as their Disney one:
Doo Wop Shop
Nick Pitera's "One Man Disney Movie" is definitely the most impressive one I've ever seen or heard. His range is incredible. You MUST watch this one if you haven't seen it before!

I saw this video not too long ago and whenever I need my Disney song fix I listen to it over and over :) This girl is amazing. She's only in high school! Her costumes and editing she did entirely on her own.

According to a source, Disney has many goals set for more movies to be based off of their famous rides in their parks. Their latest project: The Matterhorn Bobsleds.
Last year Disney officially hired Jason Dean Hall to write the script for their latest movie called The Hill, which will be based off of the first mountain ride built in Disneyland in 1959. The movie is planned to be an action adventure about a group of hikers scaling a giant mountain (which I can assume is the Matterhorn) and then encountering terrifying and dangerous yetis on the way back down. With Tronproducer Justin Springer on board, this seems like it could be a very interesting and thrilling movie.
The Matterhorn ride was the very first mountain ride built in Disneyland. Walt was inspired to create a bobsled ride in his park after a trip to Switzerland, seeing the actual Matterhorn mountain in its spectacular beauty. The ride has been refurbished several times for upkeep, and in 1978 added three abominable snowmen to terrorize the riders. (When I visited Disneyland this past February this ride was yet again being worked on....I'm assuming since it's one of the older rides it needs to be maintained seasonally for safety.)
It's also said that Disney is planning on creating a movie that will be based in the entire Disneyland Magic Kingdom, which is apparently being written by Michael Chabon (Summerland) and directed by Jon Favreau (Iron Man).
Fingers still crossed for a movie biography about Walt Disney! :)

Have you ever noticed some of the hilarious and random Youtube videos where people rearrange footage from Disney movies and make it into an entirely different music video or movie trailer? Well, I found this fake "Mean Girls" trailer that used clips from famous Disney princess movies like Aladdin and Sleeping Beauty. I personally found it pretty funny, and decided to share it with you. :)
Also, I found this on Tumblr. For reasons unknown...but I found it hilarious haha :)
In other news, I'm currently on Spring Break, trying to find some things to do. I'm trying to think of an idea of a weekly themed post about the background of theme park rides and roller coasters, but I'm not quite sure what to focus on in each post. There's so much information on them! Also, I'm trying to think of a catchy title for the posts...but nothing great is coming to mind.
Have any ideas? Let me know!

Unfortunately, it seems that the movie poster previously found online was just a fan-made art to stir up rumors (and in the process break many Disney fanatics hearts). I have to admit I was a little skeptical about the whole thing when I started trying to research any details about the movie on Google and Ryan Gosling's IMBD profile. Usually there would have been some slight hint or message addressing the state of production of this movie, but absolutely nothing showed up.
I'm still pulling for a movie though! Walt deserves one! Especially after the major impact he's made on this world. His life definitely wasn't an easy one, and people need to know how he managed to accomplish so much and go through so much hardship. I will always remember reading about the time where he had to take baths in the water fountain at the local train station and didn't have a steady place to sleep. He's proof you can go from so little and achieve so much in your life if you stay determined and put your mind through it.
Oh, and it'd be nice to put aside the rumors that his body is frozen and they're trying to bring him back to life....I've read that he was cremated a few days after he passed away. Seems a lot more logical and realistic, don't you think?

So my friend was on Pinterest and she posted this photo onto my timeline on Facebook:
I've searched and searched to try and find ANY information on this movie!! Does anyone have any idea when it might come out?? Who else is in the movie?? Or if this is fake?
I nearly died.
A movie about Walt Disney played by Ryan Gosling?? I can totally see it. I'm so happy they're FINALLY making a movie about this (if it's real). His life was amazing. Finally people can see why he's such a hero and role model in mine and many others' lives. I'm so excited!
I was going to try and imitate a Scottish accent...but then I discovered I'd really just sound like a pirate...
Anyways!
The reason for the almost Scottish attempt is in honor of Pixar's latest movie: "Brave." If you have not yet seen the preview for it, fear not, I conveniently have it at the end of this post!
Simply put, "Brave" is about a stubborn royal daughter named Merida, who uses her incredible talent in archery to change her fate and reverse a terrible curse that she had accidentally implemented among her Scottish kingdom. Yes, there have been quite a few current movies that have a brave heroine saving the day with her rebellious attitude, but knowing Pixar and the brilliance they usually create, I'm sure this will be another outstanding hit. (And maybe we'll all be able to forget about "Cars 2".....) Personally, it sounds like a cross between "The Hunger Games" and "How To Train Your Dragon." Leave it to Pixar to create a preview that looks like a mix of those two completely different movies. However, does have a tendency to create extremely short and misleading previews, revealing very little about the plot and waiting for everyone to experience and judge after they've seen the movie. I distinctly remember the commercials for "The Incredibles" only containing one scene of Bob Parr trying to put on his super suit after becoming fat (which actually wasn't in the movie). I thought that movie was going to be ridiculous, but go figure, it's my favorite.
Here are a few fun facts about the movie "Brave":
1. Reese Witherspoon was originally going to be the voice of Merida, but couldn't take on the role due to a problem with her schedule. Now Kelly MacDonald took her place.
2. This is actually the first Pixar film with a female protagonist. Interesting, never really realized that. Princess Merida will also be the first Pixar character to be included in the Disney Princess line.
3. The original film title was going to be "The Bear and the Bow." "Brave" definitely sounds more interesting if you ask me.
4. Try and spot the Pizza Planet truck from "Toy Story"! It has actually appeared in every Pixar film except for "The Incredibles." (I'll be searching for John Ratzenburger as well, he has so far had a voice for at least one character in every Pixar movie ever since playing Hamm in "Toy Story.")
5. NONE of the footage shown in the preview is in the finished film. Looks like Pixar is keeping their pattern just like I predicted!
6. Four of the actors in this film have been in Harry Potter! (My personal favorite.) Kelly MacDonald, Emma Thompson, Julie Walters, and Robbie Coltrane. Reunion!
"Brave" opens in theaters June 22, 2012.
